The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, will continue to bring significant rainfall to several parts of Luzon on Saturday afternoon, September 5. An orange rainfall alert was raised for Bataan and Zambales, where precipitation levels could reach between 15 and 30 millimeters, posing a potential flood risk. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other adjacent provinces were placed under a yellow warning, indicating expected rainfall of 7.5 to 15 millimeters. Additionally, light to moderate rain showers are anticipated in Quezon and parts of Laguna over the next few hours.
