An investigation has been launched at Hong Kong International Airport after an overhead electronic screen was left hanging precariously at the recently reopened Terminal 2. The incident took place around 8:30 am on Saturday. According to a spokesperson, the suspended display suffered a technical malfunction, which subsequently activated its emergency fall-arrest safety mechanism, preventing it from crashing down completely. The Airport Authority stated that it is treating the matter with high priority and will carry out a thorough inquiry into the root cause of the failure to prevent future occurrences and improve structural stability.
