A landslide in the mountainous town of Gaoping, located in China's Jiangxi province, has resulted in at least one death and left eleven people missing. The disaster occurred early Saturday morning following days of heavy rainfall and severe flooding. The extreme weather was brought to the region by the outer bands of Typhoon Saudel, combined with a cold front. Emergency rescue operations are currently underway at the site to locate the missing individuals who were buried under the debris.
