Deputy opposition leader Parit Wacharasindhu has released phone logs and other materials pointing to coordinated voting involving senators and an individual linked to Bhumjaithai. While a finding of guilt could trigger a major crisis for Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s administration, the aggressive strategy also exposes the opposition to legal risks. Bhumjaithai has threatened defamation lawsuits, arguing that the leaked information is unverified and politically motivated. If investigators fail to substantiate the claims, the ruling party could launch a powerful legal counteroffensive against the opposition for disclosing confidential or incomplete data.
