The president of the United Arab Emirates has issued a pardon for Abdul Rahman al-Qaradawi, the son of the late spiritual guide of the Muslim Brotherhood. Al-Qaradawi had previously been transferred to the UAE following an extradition process from Lebanon. Upon his return, he received a ten-year prison term after being convicted of offenses involving actions that damaged public security in the Gulf nation.
