The Office of National Water Resources in Thailand has issued an alert for twenty-four provinces across the northern, northeastern, and eastern regions, warning of potential flash floods and landslides through Tuesday. This weather advisory follows the movement of a monsoon trough over the northern areas, combined with a moderate southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Authorities expect these conditions to trigger heavy to very heavy rainfall, leading to risks of forest runoff and urban flooding. Residents living in low-lying or flood-prone areas, as well as those near steep slopes, are advised to remain highly vigilant. The affected provinces include Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son, Nong Khai, and Chanthaburi, among others.
