Indonesian police in Bali are searching for a motorcyclist who snatched gold chains from a 68-year-old Australian tourist. The incident took place on the evening of August 21 in the Legian tourist hub as the victim and his wife were strolling along Werkudara Street. A rider wearing what appeared to be a ride-hailing jacket approached the couple, forcibly tore two gold necklaces weighing 50 and 25 grams from the man's neck, and fled the scene. Although the victim briefly pursued the assailant, the thief managed to escape. Denpasar and Kuta district police confirmed that an investigation is underway, with authorities analyzing surveillance camera footage and witness testimonies to track down the perpetrator.
