Philippine customs officials and partner law enforcement agencies have uncovered an additional 123.91 kilograms of high-grade marijuana, known as kush, during a follow-up search of a yacht docked at the Port of Subic. The Bureau of Customs reported that the newly discovered 109 packages are valued at approximately P204.44 million. This latest find brings the total amount of contraband seized from the vessel to 198 packages, with an estimated aggregate street value of P366.65 million. The joint operation involved multiple agencies, including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine Coast Guard. Officials emphasized that thorough inspections of vessels will continue to prevent illegal substances from entering the country. The confiscated narcotics have been handed over to drug enforcement authorities for proper handling and investigation.
