United States President Donald Trump has not yet reached a definitive conclusion regarding the implementation of sanctions and tariffs against Russia. Although the president initially waived these economic measures, official reports indicate that a final determination remains pending. Marco Rubio stated on Saturday that the administration intends to utilize a window of up to 60 days to thoroughly evaluate the potential economic consequences of these policies. This assessment period is intended to provide the White House with sufficient time to analyze the impact of such trade restrictions before moving forward with a permanent decision.
